Department: SPR
Venue: DPGU SCHOOL OF PHARMACY AND RESEARCH
Type: Seminar/Workshop
On 17th July 2026, the DPGU School of Pharmacy and Research successfully hosted an interactive workshop and practical training session designed to equip our B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Pharm students gain vital, industry-standard research skills. Navigating ethical standards and regulatory frameworks is a cornerstone of modern pharmaceutical sciences. This session provided students with in-depth insights into the following areas: Regulatory Compliance & IAEC Approval: Step-by-step guidance on CCSEA guidelines, protocol design, sample size calculation, humane endpoints, and drafting Form B. Preclinical Data Analysis: Essential methodologies for accurate data interpretation. Hands-On Laboratory Training: Practical demonstrations covering laboratory animal selection, anatomical sex determination, standard routes of drug administration (Oral, I.P., S.C., I.V.), and ethical blood withdrawal techniques to minimize stress. Fostering Critical Thinking Through Team Practice To put theory into action, students participated in a dynamic group activity where they designed and presented simulated Form B preclinical study protocols, vigorously defending their research rationale and ethical compliance. The session concluded with expert evaluations and an award ceremony celebrating our top-performing presenters! We are immensely proud of our students' enthusiasm and dedication to maintaining the highest ethical standards in scientific research.
