DPGU School of Pharmacy and Research Professional Development Committee, in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacology, organized a guest session on “Laboratory Safety” on Saturday, 25th April 2026. The session was conducted by Dr. Bhaskar Idage, Former Senior Scientist, CSIR-NCL, Pune. Dr. Idage highlighted essential laboratory safety practices, proper handling of chemicals, use of personal protective equipment, and emergency response measures. The session also covered the importance of safety audits in organizations and the role of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). He emphasized the need to maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment in academic and research settings. The session was informative and helped participants strengthen their understanding of safety protocols, encouraging responsible and safe laboratory practices.
