The School of Pharmacy and Research, Dnyaan Prasad Global University organized a Two-Day Research Based Workshop on “Nanotechnology for Herbal Product Development” on 13th and 14th March 2026. The workshop aimed to enhance research skills by providing knowledge and hands-on training in advanced analytical techniques and nano-formulation approaches used in herbal product development. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Maruti Shelar, Deputy Director, DPGU SPR.
The technical sessions included “HPLC Method Development and Troubleshooting” by Mr. Kiran Nawale and Mr. Prakash Khobare from Spinco Biotech, Pune, and “HPTLC Method Development” by Dr. Asha Thomas, Head – R&D, DPGU SPR. Another session on “In Vitro Platforms for Phytopharmaceutical Drug Screening & Development” was delivered by Dr. Avinash Sanap, Scientist D, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune. Participants also received hands-on training on HPLC and HPTLC techniques conducted by Mr. Kiran Nawale, Dr. Sejal Gandhi, Dr. Sneha Chandani and team.
On the second day, Dr. Sanjeevani Deshkar, Head of Pharmaceutics, DPGU SPR, delivered a session on “Herbal Product Development: Challenges & Insights.” This was followed by practical training on Nano-Formulation Development conducted by Dr. Deshkar and her team. The workshop concluded with a Valedictory function, where participants shared feedback and certificates were distributed.
Overall, the workshop successfully provided valuable knowledge, practical exposure, and research insights in analytical techniques and nanotechnology-based herbal product development.
