The Dnyaan Prasad Global UniversitySchool of Pharmacy and Research by Dr. D. Y. Patil Unitech Society celebrated International Women’s Day on 6th March 2026 to recognize the achievements and contributions of women in academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The program included a welcome address and overview of the institute by Dr. Maruti K. Shelar, followed by an overview of the Internal Committee presented by Dr. Sonali Labhade. Distinguished alumni Ms. Anita Singh, Assistant General Manager – Product Life Group (France based), Pharma Industry; Ms. Tanya Ray (Sawant), PGKM School and Ex-Area Sales Manager at Alkem Ltd. and USV; and Dr. Shweta Malvankar, Doctoral Researcher at the University of Kansas, USA, were felicitated for their professional accomplishments. During the session, Ms. Anita Singh delivered a presentation on the evolving landscape of global regulatory affairs, highlighting regulatory pathways, quality compliance, and the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) in pharmaceutical regulatory processes. Ms. Tanya Ray (Sawant) spoke about women empowerment, career development, and the importance of communication skills for professional growth in the pharmaceutical industry. The interactive session with alumni provided students valuable insights into career opportunities and emerging trends in the field. The event concluded with the felicitation of E-poster competition winners and participants, followed by a vote of thanks.
