Department of Pharmacy Practice in association with IPSOR-DPGU Student Chapter 2025–26, Dyaan Prasad Global University School of Pharmacy and Research, successfully organized a One-Day Model United Nations (MUN) Conference with the theme “Building a Resilient Future: Strengthening Global Systems for Health, Security and Sustainable Development” on 6th February 2026.
The program began with an encouraging address by Dr. Maruti K. Shelar, Deputy Director, DPGU– School of Pharmacy and Research, who welcomed and felicitated the judges and motivated the participants. The MUN conference provided a dynamic platform for delegates coming from different colleges to represent different nations. All the judges and delegates actively engaged in structured debates, policy-driven discussions, and the event progressed smoothly. The conference proceeded through a well-organized resolution-drafting competition addressing globally significant agendas across committees such as UNICEF, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), and the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The judges facilitated constructive diplomatic dialogue, promoting thoughtful discussions and ensuring a well-organized and engaging experience.
In the valedictory ceremony, Best Delegates were awarded cash prizes, while verbal commendations and honourable mentions were presented to delegates for their noteworthy performances. The judges were felicitated for their valuable contribution. Additionally, a positive concluding remarks was given by Dr. S. S. Bhujbal, Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, who encouraged students, faculty members, and volunteers to actively participate in such academic initiatives. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the successful completion of the conference.
