Professional Development committee at Dnyaan Prasad Global University school of Pharmacy and Research, Pune organized a guest session on Plastic and e-waste management on Friday, 9th January 2026. Dr. Mohan Waman, Vice Chancellor, DPGU, Dr. Mithra Venkatesan, Director (I/C), School of Technology and Research, Dr. Maruti K Shelar, Deputy Director, School of Pharmacy and Research graced the occasion with their presence. The resource person for the session, Dr. Vinod Bodhankar along with his teammates Mr. Ulhas Bodhankar and Mr. Narendra Chug was felicitated by Dr. Mohan Waman. During the session sir explained importance of effective waste management practice and described the harmful impact of plastic and e-waste on the eco system. Sir Motivated participants to carry a bag to gather plastic waste from their home and surrounding regions. He also emphasized that even modest efforts might result in major improvements. Dr. Bodhankar also discussed the idea of the "Seven Oceans of Life" and how it relates to science, nature, and sustainable living. Through Sensible waste management and environmental conservation techniques, he motivated the audience to take proactive measures to safeguard seas, ecosystems, and humanity. The interactive session concluded with Q & A segment and vote of thanks.
